The word 'Paschal' is often associated with the paschal lamb which is the sacrifice of the Jewish Passover. From this
it became associated with Easter because of the great sacrifice of Jesus. However we also sometimes hear of the 'Paschal
Mystery' and 'the 'Paschal Light' but few people understand what they mean.
'Paschal Mystery' refers to a special spiritual awakening we may experience on the Christian spiritual journey
and it is also associated with Easter. 'Paschal Light' refers to a new Light of spiritual perception and understanding which
comes with this awakening. This is really the gateway to the deeper spiritual life.
The Paschal Light is indeed a very special brilliance and it is for this reason we have adopted this name.
